End of Summer Rummer House Tour
If you haven't had a chance to take a Rummer tour, now is your chance!
The tour is taking place in Oak Hills, Oregon's first midcentury modern neighborhood on September 17th from 11am-4pm and is hosted by Restore Oregon. Ticket goers will have the opportunity to tour six homes and meet Bob Rummer, the man himself, who will be on hand to talk about his Oak Hills experiences.
The Oak Hills neighborhood is comprised of 650 homes and spans 265 acres and is considered to be "the best example of a midcentury planned community in the Northwest." Rummer homes - or Rummers, we're developed in the 60s and 70s by Robert Rummer and are know as the Eichlers of Portland. Rummers follow similar lines to those built by Joseph Eichler in California. These homes have been sought after by midcentury modern enthusiasts and are great examples of residential architecture of the era.
