Broker Tour is #TeamTourTuesday at Portland Digs
In the real estate industry, Tuesday is broker tour day. What exactly is that? Unlike weekend open houses, a broker's open is primarily held for Realtors® and other real estate professionals (although anyone interested is welcome!). It is a time where we can see what is fresh on the market and keep up to date with changing trends. At Portland Digs, we do things a little different. Rather than tour individually, our "gaggle of Realtors®" gathers at the office and we head out caravan style for #TeamTourTuesday!
In an age of easy access information and at-hand technology, it may seem strange to waste time and gas... So, why do we tour - especially as a team?
1. First and foremost, it gives us new inventory knowledge. In a fast paced seller's market, it is key to know condition and value. Walking through it in person is much different than just looking at it in pictures. Did you know that each house that goes on the market changes the value of their neighbor's homes? Has your home value changed?
2. Additionally, jumping in the car together we learn from each other. With 25 different voices, we gain market knowledge outside our individual spheres. We can discuss the house we are currently in or the 'adorable, great starter home bungalow' we showed last night.
3. Lastly, we enjoy it! Team camaraderie is exemplary at Portland Digs. We love Portland, people and houses, and we enjoy learning and exploring together.
